Partnership Represents Significant Progress in Data Sharing for Alcohol Retailing Industry
Leading process and payment consolidation and business insights provider iControl Data Solutions (iControl) is pleased to announce a new partnership between one of the world's leading enterprise technology providers for restaurants and iControl’s recently-introduced solution, On Premise Beverage (OPBev). The collaboration will dramatically expand the universe of on-premise alcohol sales data for bars and restaurants nationwide available through OPBev, which currently provides syndicated data for approximately 21,000 locations. The new data partnership means OPBev will now offer business insights and comparative analytics for more than 28,000 bars and restaurants.
“Of the $250 billion U.S. alcohol market, bars and restaurants account for almost half of those sales,” said EVP of Innovation and Strategic Partnerships Nick Afonsky. “Until OPBev, there was not a national on-premise syndicated POS data solution for the market, covering all categories and all 50 states. With this new data partnership, OPBev has taken an incredible leap forward in its strategy to provide unique, accurate and actionable business insights to brands, distributors, analysts and marketers that will enable them to make more informed, data-driven decisions about their on-premise business.”
OPBev is the only solution with the ability to track daily on-premise point of sales (POS) for beer, wine, and spirits in the U.S. bar and restaurant industry. Based on patent-pending technology and other proprietary components developed by iControl over the past 10+ years within the industry, OPBev offers unique business insights updated weekly. This includes product assortment, supplier and brand share, competitive performance and trends, price analytics, performance by class of trade, cocktail analytics, and a full suite of other self-serve reports.
OPBev is available for subscription today. Data for new locations will be incorporated into OPBev in February 2021.
