Long-time CVS Executive Mike McEnany Joins iControl Board of Directors

Long-time CVS executive Michael (Mike) McEnany Joins iControl board of directors, replacing Ann Dozier, CIO of Southern Glazers Wine & Spirits, who is stepping down from the board after seven distinguished years as a director.

iControl Data is pleased to announce the appointment of long-time CVS executive Michael (Mike) McEnany to its board of directors. His appointment is effective February 1, 2020.  He is replacing Ann Dozier, CIO of Southern Glazers Wine & Spirits, who is stepping down from the board after seven distinguished years as a director.

Mike is currently the founder and principal of White Horse Ventures, a boutique retail consultancy which provides advisory services to early stage companies as well as to private equity firms and wall street analysts.

Mike retired in 2019 from CVS Health as Vice President of Merchandising, where he led the business units responsible for Consumables, General Merchandise/Seasonal, Field Merchandising and International Sourcing. In this role, he was responsible for strategic leadership and overall P&L results for these businesses across the 9,000+ stores CVS operates, as well as CVS.com. In addition to his core business responsibilities, Mike was deeply involved in CVS Health's Diversity and Inclusion work as an executive member of the CVS Diversity Management Leadership Council.
"He made us better as a client, and I look forward to him making us better as a director."

A firm believer in the maxim “food is healthcare”, Mike was the architect of CVS’ healthy foods
initiatives. This strategic business transformation championed the importance of healthy,
organic, and better-for-you food options across the chain. Extending this concept into the
General Merchandise space, Mike also developed Healthy Home concepts which leveraged the
importance of a clean and healthy home focusing on earth friendly and bio-based cleaners.

Prior to his last position, Mike was integral to the successful acquisition of Long’s Drugs. Throughout the integration, he was based in California and took on strategic and operational responsibilities for the Merchandising functions at Long’s. Originally hired as the Category
Manager for Beverages, Mike held positions of increasing responsibility where he consistently increased sales, profits, and operational efficiency of the businesses he led. In addition to
Beverages, he managed the Alcohol, Milk & Dairy, and Snacks businesses. This led to overall leadership for all DSD businesses in the chain and eventual leadership of the entire Field Merchandising organization.

Prior to his tenure at CVS Health, Mike held Category Management and Operations roles with
New England regional supermarket chains Stop & Shop and Shaw’s. Subsequently, as a founding employee at Streamline.com and an early leader for more.com he led early stage e-commerce retailers in the Grocery, Drug, and Services spaces.

"I'm pleased to add Mike to the board at this exciting time in our history," said iControl President & CEO Tal J. Zlotnitsky. "I had the pleasure of working across from Mike for many years, and he was a leader I respected immensely -- not because he took it easy on us, he didn't... -- but because he was knowledgeable, wise, and on top of his business.  He made us better as a client, and I look forward to him making us better as a director."

“I’m honored and excited to join the iControl Board of Directors," said McEnany. "As leaders in Direct Store Delivery Process Automation, the iControl Team had always impressed me during my time at CVS. Their focus on improving collaboration and execution between DSD Trading Partners is core to their purpose. I look forward to working closely with the Executive Team and rest of the Board to support iControl on their innovative path and accelerate growth.”
